Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the candidate will provide the planning, organization, direction and control for all operations activities of our Kelowna station and to ensure that work meets quality standards, deadlines and cost limits. The candidate will also be responsible for managing and mobilizing the human resources connected with these functions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Supervisors in the operation of a package sort centre
  • Lead and manage a team of Supervisors, Driver Trainer and delivery brokers in the operations of a last mile delivery facility
  • Control of daily operational processes, service and financial results
  • Develop team skills, assess, determine objectives and measure productivity on all aspects related to the station operations such as customer service, recruitment, training, coaching and budgeting
  • Develop, maintain and ensure compliance with business strategic plans
  • In collaboration with the Regional Operations Manager, participates in the development of procedures and working methods
  • Ensure the use of safe working methods and behaviours within the team

 

Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of relevant work experience, preferably in the small package delivery industry
  • Knowledge of British Columbia transportation laws and regulations
  • General computer skills
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication, written and spoken
  • Interpersonal, autonomous, resourceful and versatile
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a growth and fast-paced environment
